Watch Winder Moon - Carbon Fibre Single Watch Winder

The Moon is Heisse & Söhne's most compact single winder, built for the collector who owns one automatic that matters and wants it ready to wear. A carbon-fibre-effect lacquer shell, a hand-finished leatherette interior and a near-silent Japanese motor make it as suited to a bedside table as to a safe.

Why collectors choose the Moon

Most single winders are compromises — either they are loud enough to notice at night, or they are so large that they defeat the purpose of winding one watch. The Moon sits between the two. At 120 mm square it takes no more room than a jewellery box, and at under 20 dB it is quieter than the room it sits in.

The turntable is sprung rather than fixed, so bracelets from 16 mm through to heavy 22 mm divers seat without stretching the end links. The cushion is removable and washable.

Winding programmes

• Direction — clockwise, anticlockwise or alternating, selected on the rear dial
• Turns per day — 650, 900, 1200 or 1800 TPD to suit most Swiss, German and Japanese calibres
• Rest cycles — the motor pauses between programmes rather than running continuously, which reduces wear on the mainspring bridle
• Dual power — mains adaptor for permanent placement, or two AA cells for travel and safes without an outlet

Materials and finish

Seven coats of piano lacquer over a carbon-fibre-effect substrate, polished between coats. The viewing window is mineral crystal, not acrylic, so it resists the fine scratching that dulls cheaper winders within a year. Interior surfaces are a matte leatherette in cream, brown, red or black, colour-matched to the exterior trim.
